Hello, and welcome to the Chimerror Productions website!
For a pretty long while, I’ve been doing without a dedicated website mainly because it takes a good deal of effort to keep it up, and there was so many features I wanted to add and work on. This was all fine until the platforms started collapsing, and while I found a (somewhat) nice place on Cohost for a bit, that too is now closing.
However, being on Cohost reignited my love for long-form writing, and while I will remain on the Fediverse, I do want to continue having a place to write up the dev diaries I’ve been writing for my current main project, Quoll. And that is this. It is also a place that I can upload all other work I do that would not make sense to make a whole individual website for, like my recent short story Shark Bite Brew.
My goals with this website are very modest, I don’t really intend to make this a big site with all the bells and whistles, just good enough that I feel good pointing people to it. Unlike a lot of the other websites that I’ve set up so far, this website also has an RSS feed that you can subscribe to. I’ll probably add RSS feeds to the Quoll website eventually too, but I need to wrap up the other, actual gamedev parts of the next major release.
I also eventually intend to import my relevant old posts from Cohost, as well as the dev diaries from the Quoll website. After that, I want to pull together all my stories elsewhere published, and if I really get a bug, I’ll pull in all my old LiveJournal posts or something. The sky’s the limit!
