OK, as much as I really want to continue working, it’s getting close to bedtime so I think I should call it here. After eating, I did another work session, pulling in the locale paragraphs for our skunktaur tutors and fixing a small ordering issue with how this gets printed out (basically, I’d rather Ada describe the people in the room before she describes the door back to the hallway).

Now that I’m getting back into pulling in my writing, the absolute scope of how much work it takes to be adaptive to the Playerr is hitting me again! For example, even though I said “skunktaur tutors”, it’s completely possible the Playerr has tricked Ada into changing the two’s body plan in the Zeroth Exercise. And there’s other things. I basically just try to keep track of it all in TODO comments, but I’m sure I’ll miss some!

Writing interactive fiction is hard. Especially when you literally let the Playerr alter reality. Oh well, I still think it’s such a neat idea, so I am glad to take the challenge on.

Probably won’t work on this tomorrow because I have to prepare for choir, but I can see the home stretch of a release, perhaps by the end of the year, though I would be thrilled to have it sooner.
